Due to a defensive pact which we signed with BBK, one week ago according to my records, I must speak on behalf of Veyr Corporation when I offer our support to BBK.
Hence:
2008.09.19 06:45
Veyr has declared war on The Drekla Consortium.
After 24 hours fighting can legally occur between those involved.

On behalf of Veyr I issue the following statement:
Veyr has not recieved great losses at the hands of the Drekla Consortium. Ships have been lost and destroyed, however it is proving somewhat difficult to find an engagement. At this time, we see sorties into the Mai system as unnecessary. Zaimeth, being the choke-point to which Mai attaches is just as acceptable. You will find our forces have not been backing down, Mr Slaven.

Apparently this is a roleplaying section of the forum; look at the description under where it says Corporation and Alliances Summit on the main forum page. I don't think everyone noticed :)

If the Drekla Consortium truly wishes to bring peace and stability to the Mai area, they will accept a second attempt at negotiation. The Mai system is at this time of little importance to Veyr, as well as BBK, and the only thing continuing to propagate unrest in the area is the declaration of war issued by the Consortium against BBK.
I personally would be willing to enter negotiations with the Drekla Consortium to end the war, though naturally I cannot speak on behalf of the other corporations arrayed against the Drekla Consortium.

I should point out that I made this of my own free will rather than under pressure from the Consortium.
On another note, I have heard that the war is likely to come to an end soon, from sources in other corporations.

Due to the cease in hostilities between BBK and The Drekla Consortium in the coming hours, Veyr has retracted the declaration of war against The Drekla Consortium.
